Basic vs. Pre-Mixed Shades
PhiBrows pigments are divided into two categories: Base Colors and Pre-Mixed Shades.
- Base Colors: Yellow, Red, and Black – used for mixing and customization.
- Pre-Mixed Shades: Golden Brown, Brown 1, Brown 2, Brown 3, and Fox – ready to use, or can be adjusted with base tones.
Pre-Mixed Shades: Which Client Gets Which Pigment?
Golden Brown
The lightest shade in the range. Yellow-based, ideal for Fitzpatrick I clients – fair skin, light brows, and blonde hair. Perfect for elderly clients and platinum/honey blondes.
Brown 1
A light, yellow-heavy brown pigment. Best for Fitzpatrick I-II, clients with light brown or ash blonde hair. Can be warmed with Golden Brown for a subtle gold tone.
Brown 2
The most versatile and widely used pigment. Neutral undertone. Suitable for 80% of clients (Fitzpatrick I–II) with medium brown hair and light to medium skin tones.
Brown 3
A rich, deep brown with great saturation. Perfect for Fitzpatrick III–IV or lighter skin with dark hair. Can be deepened with Black or warmed with Fox.
Fox
Warm, red-based brown. Ideal for natural redheads or clients with dyed red/mahogany hair. Suits Fitzpatrick I–II with freckles or pink undertones.
Base Colors: For Mixing & Color Correction
Yellow
Added to prevent pigments from healing too ashy or blue. Especially useful on cool undertone clients. Also used in pigment masks.
Red
Warms up the final shade and neutralizes green tones. Often used during color correction or pigment masking.
Black
Used mostly to darken other pigments like Brown 3. Rarely used alone. Helps customize blends for clients with very dark features (Fitzpatrick V–VI).
